Breathtaking horseback adventures in South America
Ride
Rides Andes has a range of tours that offer everything from challenging riding through remote highlands to more relaxing rides suitable for less experienced riders. Itinerary options include journeying between centuries-old colonial haciendas, riding deep into the remote Andes or enjoying days out from one secluded base.
During the tours guests will very often be able to gaze in awe as a mighty Andean Condors soars overhead - with all its 3.2 metres (10 ½ feet) wingspan – frequently followed with a speedy flypast by a hummingbird.
On some of the remoter routes - for those looking for more challenging riding, it is possible to see the Andean Spectacled Bear. There is also a wealth of fascinating plant life - from bamboo to brugmansia - as we traverse incredibly distinct landscapes.

Guide & Horses
Run by British horsewoman Sally Vergette, Ride Andes has been offering both fixed date departures and private tailor-made trips for more than 20 years.
Sally and her team have made it their mission to put together riding itineraries that bring guests the best of this delightful South American destination; riding happy, healthy horses through superb scenery.
All the horses are well schooled and sure footed and Ride Andes takes great care and attention in selecting trusty steeds for each individual rider.
Private rides are ideal for families as well as groups of friends and with a wide variety of other activities available- from mountain biking and nature walks as well as simply relaxing in the magnificent manicured hacienda gardens- there is something to keep everyone happy, even ‘non-riders’.

Farm stay
At each of these idyllic locations guests are served an array of excellent dishes made with the huge variety of fresh Ecuadorian produce.
There is also the option of adding on non-riding excursions in this mega-diverse destination such as visiting the unique Galapagos Islands, staying at a lodge or on the river in the fascinating Amazon rainforest or going to the cloud forest.
Ecuador’s compact size means that these additional excursions are easily reached without requiring lengthy periods of travelling.
